E TA left this review about The Manor Arms

A strange village pub and restaurant in the centre of the village. It isn’t immediately obvious where it is and parking can be tight. The building dates back to the 16th Century and is part of a hamstone terrace. The front door is right on the footpath, thought there is a garden at the back. It has plenty of character, with exposed timbers, flagstone floors and an open fire. The staff were quaintly welcoming, and there were 6 handpumps on the bar, which stretches across the double frontage. Sadly though, despite two of the pumps being clipped Bath Gem and Tribute, there was no ale available – the landlord said they ran out the night before and that there were some new barrels in the cellar. I was offered San Miguel as an alternative which seemed a bit weird to me. I’d like to come back another time when they’ve got some beer on, but it’s a bit out of my way.
