A no-frills village pub on the end of a Victorian terrace. There is a paved garden at the side and a separate function room at the back. There are two bars, one long and thin and the other more square. There is a pool table in the back bar, while the front bar is more a saloon. Food is freshly cooked and has a very good reputation locally. Three ales on were Cotleigh Styrian Wolf, Branscombe Vale’s Branoc and Butcombe’s. The ale was well kept and most enjoyable. I’d be very happy to come back here next time I’m passing.

Good local village pub primarily for "local people" but friendly enough welcome and well kept beers. Average.
