E TA left this review about Vinos Ale & Wine Tavern

Originally The White Lion, this high street pub dates back to the 18th Century. It spent a short time as The Three Lions, a football-centric pub which acquired a bad reputation, hence the new name which the current tenants took to disassociate the pub from its unruly past. There is a single L-shaped bar formed from knocking through the original ground floor, it’s floorboarded and there are some exposed timbers. There is an original brick fireplace in the front and a larger brick fireplace, more modern, at the back. The landlady was rather sociable, and we felt very welcome. Hot food is freshly cooked, though it’s not an extensive menu. There is a large selection of gins, but only one ale, Wadworth’s 6X, which was in good condition. One of the better pubs in Bridgwater town centre, though check opening times before visiting.
