Steve C left this review about The Queens Head

The Queens Head is a Bank’s pub so it wasn’t surprising to see their Amber available, although four other hand pumps stood unused. The strong local crowd in attendance during a recent midweek early evening visit were mainly tucking into the standard keg, but I went for the Amber which was on good form and was served by a friendly governor.
The pub itself has a front entrance that leads past a couple of gaming machines to a sparsely furnished bare boarded area that is faced by banquettes along the rear and front right walls. In the right rear corner is a dartboard and the jukebox was off whilst racing at Cheltenham played on televisions throughout. The bar counter in the left rear faces a carpeted seating area to the front. As a local this place is decent, but I wouldn’t travel to visit.
