Formerly a traditional two room village pub , the Pheasant has had many extensions over the years and has taken over the buildings on either side .
The main bar area is in the centre of the pub with dining areas to both sides , one area long and narrow the other small and cosy , there is a function room .
Usual keg taps and 5 handpulls with Wye Valley HPA , Three Tuns 1642 , Doombar , Salopian Shropshire Gold and GK IPA on a pull that looked like some futuristic Sex Toy , i had the Shropshire Gold which was decent but at £3.50 a bit pricey for the area .
It is very food led but drinkers are well catered for .

Decided to go for sunday lunch on the on the 12 september, table booked at 3pm.

Right here we go,
Arrived girls behind bar nice and friendly ordered drinks then seated to a nice table.
For starters my Wife had pate I had the fish in tempura batter which was nice but the batter was much to dark to be tempura as it resembled little fish from the chip shop also texture was'nt like tempura batter.

For mains both of us had roast beef, beef was fine the veg seemed fresh however the roast potatoes and the yorkshire pudding tasted like they had been cooked a few hours ago which I didnt eat.

Desert my wife had cheese cake which was very good,I chose cheese and buiscuits which came with a £2.50 supplement,The blue cheese was fine however the other two types of cheese where tasteless and looked like they had been left uncovered for a long time, called the waitress who was very pleasent and asked if we would like a replacement which we didnt just didnt want to pay for it, the Duty manager a young lad then came over and said is there a problem with the cheese to which i replied yes he then told me he had tasted it and it was fine and if I wanted he would bring it back ,why would I want it back he also stated maybe it was the port that i had ordered with my cheese had took the taste away from it, how ridiclous I couldnt be bothered to argue and asked for the bill.
I found very him rude and unprofessinal and unhelpful why treat paying customers like that.

Clean, tidy & totally devoid of atmosphere. More a restaurant than a pub. 3 real ales on when visited. Well presented ale but very expensive - at least 35p per pint more than I would expect in the area. Quiz nights on Thursday are very popular. Pub advertising states "The Pheasant Inn at Admaston is what Telford has been waiting for!!!" - no it isn't. Had a good evening but left feeling ripped-off. Only 2 stars - for the furniture.
