A few changes here , it has now been Gastro-Pubed , same layout as before but the majority of tables laid for dining.
Very quiet on my Saturday evening visit with only two other people in , one being the barmaid , 6 handpulls , 4 had reversed clips Hobsons Town Crier , Old Prickly , Rowton Bitter ,Battlefield Archers , the beer on was an OK Rowtons pure Gold .

Pleasant little pub on the outskirts of the towncentre , basically one room with a small horseshoe bar(there is another room , only open when busy) a nice wrought iron glass storage unit hangs above the bar , though only one room there are a couple of distinct areas , usual tap stuff plu two handpull , only one on during my viit , Wye Valley HPA , not to bad if a tad warm . Ovarall not a bad little pub , worth popping in if your in this part of town(on the way to the Cock Hotel)

This place reopened last year after a decent refurbishment. Some comfortable seating in the lounge area at the front along with a quiz machine, slightly more basic bar stools etc towards the back. The two handpumps were selling Landlord and HPA which don't appear to change. No matter, it’s a big improvement getting cask ale on at all. I tried a pint of the HPA which was fine. It’s a pleasant little pub now and worth a visit. A bit of a culture shock going on around here, Wellington appears to be getting some decent pubs and boy did it need some more!
