Great at last to have a real ale pub in Dawley. They have a varying selection of beers, always crystal clear and refreshing. I can find no fault in the pub other than. -
A baby is now resident in the pub and the tables and stools have all been moved to allow access for the buggy coming in and out, and in and out??. Also the baby is held sitting with only his nappy on, on the bar??. This is not really the kind of atmosphere we should have, all we want is to go out and relax with a nice pint. I dread to think what will happen when the baby starts toddling around. The Elephant and Castle could be so much better.

Sister venue to the Crown Inn, Oakengates. Another great pub with great beer, great atmosphere and no d**kheads like the Talbot and Crown just down the road. They too have a monthly comedy night but unlike The Crown this one is upstairs in the function room and is EVEN better.

Recently reopened after a major refurb , situated at the top of Dawley mainstreet this is a welcome addition to the Dawley pub scene , there are three seperate areas , to the left of the entrance is the bar , its long and narrow , an old fireplace , a few old beams adourned with pumpclips and various old mirrors and adverts make up the decor , the servery is central , the room to the right is of a similar design , to the rear is a conservatory area that leads to a patio .
There are six handpulls in the bar and a few others in the other room , five on during my visit with Hobsons Mild , Joules Stumbling Monk , College Green Mollys Choclate Stout and one each from Tring and Cottage , the Mild and Stout were both very good .
Staff and locals were friendly , this is a very good pub well worth a visit
