Popular two room pub with a dodgy reputation for trouble of both the two fisted and light finger types , named after local lad Sir Gordan Richards the Champion Jockey , its downfall was the construction of a large function room which allowed the pub-co to put the rent up to an unsustainable level , allowing the pub-co to sell the land to a supermarket .
Now a Morrisons.
