Looks like the end is in sight for this one , the Landlord/owner has taken over the nearby Bell and Bails and applied for planning permission to convert the Bush into flats .

A tribute to its regulars , it has been on verge of closing for years , but aint yet . No cask ale and to be honest its a dump , but fair play better pubs than this have shut , this place has survival instinct

I had a chat to the relief landlord of this pub last night. This is a Punch pub and he's been asked to keep the doors open for them. He's not getting paid at the moment as Punch have just bought his lease out on a different pub so they can sell it. Part of the buy out deal was that he would run this place for a few weeks for them. It's got a pool table and also a dartboard, it still has an active darts team and there's karaoke on Saturday night. There's also a friendly little pub dog called Trixie who now appears to be my friend for life! Sadly there's no real ale. When the landlord first arrived he put it on but had to throw half of it away as it didn't sell. If someone buys this from Punch and spends a few quid on it there's a chance it will survive as there are newly built houses just behind it, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
