Alan Winfield left this review about The Millrace

The Millrace is a decent looking pub that is situated quite close to the Caldon canal and River Trent.
Once inside the main room is straight forward, this room runs to the rear of the pub,the room was carpeted and had bench seats and normal tables and chairs, there was a TV at the far end and a pool table and Bar football table to the rear left.
I went in the room to the front left which was marked snug but this room was larger than a snug and was a nice room to sit in over a drink, all of the pumps were in this room.
I think the pub is a Marstons house but it is not signed as this outside, there were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Marstons bitter which was a very well kept beer, the other beers were Pedigree and Jennings Cumberland.
There is an outside paved area to the rear left and a small garden next to this.
I thought this was a really nice pub to sit and have a drink in.
