Alan Winfield left this review about The Gardners Arms

The Gardeners Arms is a nice looking pub this is situated on the southern edge of Biddulph.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped lounge to the front, which had comfy bench seating around the edge of the room,a TV was showing the Aston Villa v Newcastle Utd game.
I had a drink in the rear room which is the bar, this room was quite smart and oblong shaped, there was comfy bench seating and small stools for seating, there was a pool table in the middle of the room and darts board to the right.
There were no real ales on the bar,the keg bitter choice was very unusuall and a blast from the past,i had a drink of Oldham bitter which was a decent keg bitter, the other beer was Wards bitter.
This is a very pleasant pub with a nice garden,i quite liked this pub.
