Alan Winfield left this review about The Bird In Hand

The Bird in Hand is small looking pub that is just south of the town centre.
There are two doors but the lounge door is out of use,we went in the bar door which took us into a small oblong shaped room which is the main bar room, the bar faced, the floor is tiled, there was bench seating around the edge of the room and small stools.
There is a seperate room to the rear right which is square shaped, this room had a table skittles table and bench seating, there is seperate pool off this room to the rear, the lounge to the front left is also off this room.
There were three real ales on the bar,we had a drink of Three Tuns Solstice which was a really nice well kept beer, the other beers were Winckle Sir Philip and Burton Bridge Ram Dog.
This is a completly unaltered pub inside,we really liked this pub,one to have good session in.
