Alan Winfield left this review about The Alton Castle

The Alton Castle is on the corner of tape street and queen street just off the town centre.
Once inside the pub has two seperate rooms,we had a drink in the front room which was oblongish in shape and divided into two areas by a wall, there was a darts board and TV in the left side, the right side had a table skittles table, both sides had bench seating and small stools,a TV was showing the Ryder Cup golf, there is a seperate lounge to the rear left whch looked quite smart, but i did'nt go in it.
There were two pumps on the bar, both had Doom Bar on which was a decent enough drink.
I did'nt really take to this pub,not sure why though.
