Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Peacock Inn

Sizeable Marston's pub with a thoroughly-refurbished interior; relatively plain in the large bar / dining area but rather more traditional in the smaller raised seating areas to one side. Several sports TVs, but a popular quiz in full swing when I called in. Outdoor tables on the front decking plus a rear beer garden. Three of five handpumps in use, dispensing Banks's Bitter, Pedigree and Hobgoblin (£2.84).

Once multi roomed pub , now one large room , the age of the pub can be judged from the large beer garden at the rear , inside a few ancient beams and wood panels add more age to the pub , inside its just a big room , to the left the dining area , to the right the bar and a couple of sepertate areas ,on different levels , one with a dartboard ,.
Beers are the usual kegs plus 7 handpulls many doubled up so only 3 availible , Marstons Pedigree , Banks Sunburst ad Jennings Slap and Tickle which was OK .
Its no bad in here , if not great

Joe McArthur left this review about The Peacock Inn

In my honest opinion the pub could do with a complete do-over. The customers were really welcoming and the venue itself, although it could do with a lick of paint, was nice with a good range of sports and background. However the beer was shoddy, cloudy and had a sour vinegary taste. The food was piping hot (due to a microwave no doubt) and was tasteless and badly presented. I happened to see a girl leave the kitchen who looked scruffy and I was worried she may have been the chef but luckily to all consumers she wasn't. I was utterly disgusted at how she looked to be honest. The staff behind the bar however were a shining light who couldn't do enough to assist you, (they happily changed my beer for me and sent my food back to be replaced,) I would only recommend going here if you were dying of starvation or thirst and then I would still pity you.
