A large warehouse-style place full of assorted junk and clearly aimed at the young, probably passing for trendy in Shrewsbury. It does at least have some handpumps, with barrels beneath visible through a glass panel, serving a couple of Salopian beers (including a house beer) and one from Stonehouse, also a cider. Sadly the condition of the house ale was poor. Possibly tolerable during the day but wouldn't want to be here on a busy evening.

Not quite as big as The Warehouse round the corner but another large single room with plenty of space for vertical drinking for the weekend rush. Made to look a bit scruffy with "keg" sawdust on the floor and given a rather rustic look. A bit more of a mixed age group than its near neighbours, probably due to the large number of TV screens in every part of the room showing Premiership football.

I agree with Mr Great below that this is indeed a strange place. If its going for the 'shed' look its got it totally wrong as it does indeed resemble a wild west saloon. It has a load of crap that you may find in an old shed; bits of machinery, rusty garden tools and assorted rubbish but your first impression is saloon bar more than garden/allotment shed. Anyway there are 4 handpumps on the bar with 3 for real, including their own 'Albert's Shed' beer by whoever, and one cider pump. I was not overly impressed and there are much better places in the town.

Quite a change here , the post industrial look of the vodka bar has gone replaced with lots and lots of roughly sawn wood almost Wild West in feel .
It is one large room divided in two , to the left there is seating in alcoves and a huge oversize chair for Selfies ! a stage for live music is at the far end , the dividing wall has some large cages filled with various bits of memorabilia and some bicycle parts , there are some shelves for resting drinks on with some metal stools complete with pedals and chainsets .... very strange .
The long brick bar is down the right with two long T Bars with lots of keg taps and in the middle four handpulls , the barrels are visible through a glass panel under the pulls . Beers on were Doombar , Alberts Ale and a decent Salopian Lemon Dream , the other pull was Orchard Pig Cider .
A mixture of customers , from old timers to young families although the age range was getting younger towards the end of my visit .
Its a strange one this , i quiet enjoyed my half hour here although i suspect later in the evening it will be a youngsters bar.

Huge room with the bar down the right hand side. TVs on all over the place. Strongest real ale was 4.5% ABV but it was quite pleasant for once.

First recorded as the Slipper in 1780 this place has had several name changes over the years including the Hope and Anchor and Oddfellows before finally settling on the Old Slipper in the 1860s .
The original pub was demolished in the urban development of the Barker Street area in the 1930s and the new pub opened in 1939 behind where the old pub stood .
In the early 1990s the pub was modernised into a trendy fun pub and the name changed to first Jacksons then Merchant Stores and finally Rowleys before its last transition to Source .
You enter through double doors and the Island bar is straight in front , to the right is an industrial looking staircase that leads up to the VIP area , to the left are a couple of huge TV screens (showing Rugby on my visit)at the far side is a dancefloor and DJ booth .
As previous reviews point out this is very much a late night bar/club so very quiet on my early evening visit , despite being 30 years older than the pubs target clientelle the service was very friendly and the bar staff chatty .
No real ales available but they have Banks Bitter on keg and a enough decent Guiness
Not the sort of place i would normally go but it was friendly enough for a quick early evening pint although the near Pornographic Murals in the Gents were somewhat distracting .

Walked past this place at 11:30pm on our way to our hotel after a night on the beer. It was banging! Massive queue outside, loud music, cheap vodka and ladies wearing very little. Great if you want that sort of thing, but not for me. No score left as I didn't go in, this little note is just for information.

This is a typical late night lager bar which has been nicely done out. There’s lots of comfortable seating at the front and a dance floor with a DJ rig at the rear. There’s a quiz machine and a couple of big screen TVs, there’s also a bouncer even on a Wednesday. It was very quiet when I called in but a few nice looking girlies in short skirts were just arriving as I was leaving, or maybe it was because I was leaving. As there wasn’t any beer I had to have a pint of Fosters. It was only £2, I assume this is a promotion as I can’t see it being £2 on a Friday night.
