I heard one of the locals booking a table for the next day whilst we were at the bar. Obviously this pub must serve food only in the evenings as there were no tables laid on our Tuesday afternoon visit. The interior had low ceilings and seating was a mix of brown button backed bench seating along the left hand side from the entrance. Exposed bare brick was also another feature along with some original ceiling beams. Four handpumps with only two in use on our visit, Titanic Anchor and TT Landlord. The food photos and menu online looked very inviting.

Looks mainly a restaurant but the rear has darts, and a big screen. Four pulls with Wye Valley, Hobsons, Castle Rock and Rev James in average condition. A busy Friday night and just the one barman behind the bar, the bloke in front of me got pissed off waiting and left but I got served pretty quickly after that, then a floozie appeared behind the bar and the bar chap left, still it wasn't too busy so maybe the locals avoid the place.

Now has 4 handpumps with Rev James, Salopian Shropshire Gold, Castle Rock Harvest Pale and Hobson's Town Crier on on this visit.

4/2/15
I too found this to be a friendly pub. It has a cosy feel about it and once sat on the sofas at the rear it was hard to leave. And not just due the usual lowness if the sofa.

Friendly locals pub handy for Theatre Seven , it seems to have had a recent refurb with bare brickwork and wood panneling , up a short flight of stairs there is a small beer patio to the rear of the pub , usual keg taps and three handpulls with Hobsons Bitter , Westons Old Rosie Cider and a decent Castle Rock Harvest Pale.
Service was friendly and the locals a good mix of old and young , worth a visit if your over this side of the river .

Nicely kept locals pub just across the Welsh bridge. 3 handpumps on the bar serving Spitfire, Hobsons Bitter and Old Rosie cider. I had a pint of Hobsons which was well kept. I've had the Spitfire on previous visits when the Hobsons wasn't on which was also good. It can be a bit foody at the front of the pub during food service times. But there's another area to the rear with a quiz machine etc. It's a good little pub, well worth a visit when in this part of town.
