Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Hart

Very appealing old pub, with a genuine half-timbered façade and a twin-bar interior still separated by the central servery. Both parts are as traditionally furnished and decorated as you would expect, and you get a real feel of history here. The thirsty local cycling club arrived during my visit, and this helped emphasize its place in the community. Fine selection of six real ales when I visited: Greene King Abbot, Salopian Shropshire Gold, two from Wye Valley - HPA and Butty Bach - an excellent Enville Ale (£3.10) and something from Tiny Rebel. Plenty of local and regional Camra awards, and you can quite see why.

Nice looking little pub well used by the locals. No wonder when you see that there are 9 ales to choose from. As noted below mostly local with Holden's, Wye Valley, Enville and Batham's amongst the list when I called. The 2 we had were well kept and the service was friendly. Well worth a visit.

Old Boots left this review about The White Hart

Charming old looking two bar pub, popular on my Saturday evening visit, not very modernised but comfortable interior complemented by a good range of mostly local beers, I'll ignore the present of Abbott as an aberration, Butty Bach looked to be the locals favourite, in spite of delights such as Enville, castle rock, Salopian, and Holdens. I saw Abbott ordered once but as a shandy - improves the taste I guess. Frequented by small groups of locals in the main, an old git like myself was just ignored and left to get on with it in peace which was nice. Camra Telford & E Shropshire Pub of the Year.

Extremely well kept pub dating from the 17th Century. The pub is situated at the far end of Shifnal and is a stand alone pub. The interior is traditional and has a country pub feel about it. The main features here for me was the timber frame structure, leaded windows and always great to see some cobs on the bar also. Nine handpumps, with a choice of six ales on our visit, so I went for the Salopian Hop Twister.

Good looking pub from the outside, with two interior rooms either side of an island bar.Carpeted throughout ,both sides have a lounge feel and there is as large wood burner. My visit was brief on a rail crawl with two pubs to hit before the next hourly train, although I noted an ale selection from this GBG regular of Wye Valley Butty Bach,GK Abbott and Barmy Army,Salopian Shropshire Gold and Hop Twister (good nick) and Enville Ale.Worthy of a real ale crawl visit despite a rather uninspiring ale choice ,it's a comfortable place to sup.

Another great Shifnal pub to follow on from my earlier visit to the Plough. I walked into the room on the left sporting three handpumps then decided to go to the other side which had six handpumps. The GK Abbot pump in here looked out of place amongst all the micro beers. I then opted for Holdens Mild from the three bank to get another Shropshire May Mild sticker. This was truly on top form and only £2.60 per pint. All the milds I have "collected" on the scheme have been less than £3. In this pub it seemed every conversation overheard from the bar was about beer from all ages and both sexes. They really take an interest in what they are drinking!

This is an old listed pub on the North side of Shifnal, It has won various CAMRA awards. Inside there are Public and Saloon bars. I opted for the Saloon as it was quiet. This bar had a bank of four pumps with a solitary one selling Enville Ale. Other beers included GK Abbot, Salopian Shropshire Gold, Holden's Mild & Bitter and Wye Valley Butty Bach. I went for the Shropshire Gold (£2.50) which was in excellent condition. It would be nice to see something a bit more exotic than Abbot, but maybe it's not quite as ubiquitous in this area as it is down South.
This is a good solid GBG listed pub and well worth a visit.

Multi award winning real ale pub , the pub is well desribed in the previous reviews , a deent choice of beers available , my Wye Valley Butty Bach was very good , locals were mainly the more mature type , friendly enough but it did feel a little cliquey.
Well worth a visit will be back soon

This is a splendid single storey half timber building with large dormer windows, it is grade II listed and operates as a free house. The pub has two small traditional rooms, a lounge on the left and a public bar on the right, there is a central island bar that serves both rooms and a short corridor at the back of the building which links the two rooms. The lounge has the bar counter on the right, wood settles, a small TV and a dart board on the back wall with accompanying trophies. The public bar has the counter on the left with a nice fire place in the opposite wall, both rooms have low timber beams and some brass bits and bobs for decoration. I was informed by a friend who explored a little further that there is a small pleasant patio area behind the pub.

Regular ales are Holden’s Mild, Salopian Shropshire Gold, Wye Valley HPA and Enville Ale with two changing guest beers which on this occasion were Shires Dabley Ale and Otter Ale. I had the Shropshire gold and the Otter ale as it is rare this far north, both were in excellent condition and my friends confirmed that the other beers were all well kept (Cask Marque and GBG 2011).

A fantastic olde worlde pub with traditional character and great beer, which is just my kind of place. It has won several awards over the years which I would say it well deserves, my only criticism is that the atmosphere felt a little clique and the staff were a bit miserable but this is such a good pub that I would not hesitate to recommend it and I look forward to returning soon.

Although I'm not from Shifnal, the White Heart has become my "local" as it has a rotating range of 7 or so ales, with 5 more ready to go,meticulously kept by Andy, the Publican delightful local banter. And HUGE well prepared lunchtime meals that keep puling me back! the only problem is no food eve's or Sundays :>(
