Soup Dragon left this review about Robin Hood Inn

A detached Banks's country pub that has a Thai restuarant within it (Pin's Kitchen). The pub is in white render with some black paint work and has dormer windows. There is a beer garden to the side and a red telephone box stands on the patio area.

The interior has a couple of rooms, however the back room is Pin's Kitchen, which i didn't see. The front room is the pub and is very traditional. The room, both walls and ceiling, is in white and beams. The serving bar is to the front and right on entry, next to a large undressed brick firplace. Two stone pillars forming archways are a feature in the centre of the room. Copious amounts of brass ornaments decorate the room and copper tables feature in a rather 80s kind of way, with lots of photos and other pictures on the walls. A couple of nice ones of the Victorian period of the pub are interesting. It has both bar stools and red leather seating. There was no TV and the music was general at an OK level. The service was friendly and it was busy with a maturer clientele.

Beer; usual tap stuff, with Joules Pale Ale, Banks's Bitter, Fuzzy Duck's Pheasant Plucker and a decent Jennings Bitter on handpull.

I didn't expect much before visiting, thinking that being half a Thai restaurant would spoil the pub side - how wrong i was. I really enjoyed my stop off here and would happily return just for a drink. Worth a visit.
