Soup Dragon left this review about Peel Arms

This is a detached pub with a nice beer garden. It is an extended cottage styled pub, in cream render and beams, with a front porch and dormer windows. It has an extension to the side and the living accommodation at the back.

The interior is actually opn plan, but with three areas, which although now are all lounge/dining, you feel betray earlier roots. Entering through the front door, you find yourself in a raised area, that you feel is the lounge, though you can eat here. It is in white, with white and beam ceiling, red patterned carpet and a stone wall. There is a large exposed brick fireplace, with a grate and there are lots of brass ornaments. Pop down the few steps and the serving bar faces you. To the left is the more out and out dining area. It is in white, with landscape pictures on the walls. We didn't eat here, so can't comment on the food. To the right is what you once feel was more the bar, as there is a dart board here. It is also in white. I didn't see a TV and the music was 60s orientated at a decent level. The service was really friendly and the clientele more mature based.

Beer; usual tap stuff with Deuchars IPA, Wells Bombardier and a decnt enough Timothy Taylor Landlord on handpull.

A very traditional feel to this place and i warmed to it straight away. The service was really friendly and i could have stayed here for hours. Worth a visit.
