A nice, friendly little pub off the main drag. It is essentially split into 2 rooms and a small beer garden to the rear. Real ales available with the usual suspects (for Bridgnorth) being Wye Valley.

Although not one of Camra's heritage pubs, this is a fine old pub with an interesting if not historic interior. There are two rooms, one to the left in the front of the pub, the other to the right on entering and at the rear. The latter has live football on TV - I went in to photograph the hand pumps which are in here rather than in the front room - and a few locals at the time of our early afternoon visit, while the other was almost empty. The bar counter is made of barrel staves. This was only our third pub of the day and I was trying to take it easy after having two halves instead of one at the Railway Tavern, so I had a half of Bathams Bitter. It was so good that I drank it in a trice and had another.

The Bell & Talbot is a nice looking bare brick built pub that is just off the town centre.
Once inside there is an L shaped room with the bar to the front and facing inwards, the room is carpeted, there is bench seating and small stools for seating, the TV was showing BBC final score.
There is a smaller separate room to the left.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Wye Valley HPA which was a very nice drink to end our Bridgnorth crawl on,the other real ales were Bathams Bitter,Salopian Oracle and Hobsons Stout.
We both thought this was a very pleasant pub to end our pub crawl in.
I think we missed out on four pubs which is a shame.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Bell & Talbot

A traditional pub on the edge of town, which was only a 10 min walk. The pub is traditional in décor and is very basic, the afore mentioned vinyls across the ceiling have now gone. There was an old banjo still on the wall and music is still played in the lounge at weekends.
The pub use to brew Clipper ales out the back, but has sadly gone. The barman did say they are thinking of starting up their microbrewery again, towards the end of the year and will be rebadged to Talbot Ales. They had five pumps on the bar, with four on, so we settled for the Three Tuns XXX.

I had waited a while for the opportunity to visit this pub because the Good Beer Guide says it doesn’t open until 5pm. Two roomed pub with additional verandah to the rear. The interior was basic but the service was pleasant and friendly as were the few customers who were in at the time of my visit on a Friday afternoon.

A drum kit being dismantled in the corner suggested that it had hosted live music the previous evening. Music seemed to be a theme because the ceiling was covered in vinyl albums and musical instruments. There was music playing on the stereo and although not mainstream it was kept to background level.

Ales on handpull were Hobson’s Town Crier, Hobson’s Twisted Spire, Batham’s Bitter and Salopian Oracle. I liked it here and I’d happily go back.

Old Boots left this review about The Bell & Talbot

A bit out of the town centre but a good pub and well worth the walk. Low ceiling, with old 78s and 33s in places, musical instruments and junk in other places. Of the two bars, I preferred the back bar, the beer and service in either is great though. A bit quirky, for example there are horse brasses fixed to the kick board at the bottom of the bar counter, some of the quirkiness is deliberate but some I think is unwitting. I didn't note all the beers as I was far too busy enjoying my Hobsons Twisted Spire and was slightly drunk if I'm honest, Hobsons and Bathams seem to be the regulars.

As can be seen by the picture, a nice terrace brick Georgain style pub, with green trim. The interior has a small room, larger back room and conservatory with beer patio/garden area. There are lots of albums, instruments and other music memorabilia on the ceilings and walls. The gaffer was really friendly, chatting to us in between serving pints. Place seemed clean and with a good clientele.

Beerwise; after the usual tosh, there was Hobsons Town Crier and Bitter, Bathams (class), Kinver Light Railway (fine) and i think Batemans XXXB. Well kept stuff.

Another Bridgnorth delight that washed away the thoughts of having to get the bus back to Wolverhampton. Another must.

ROB Camra left this review about The Bell & Talbot

Smallish pub with several little rooms/areas. The whole ceiling is taken up with old vinyl LPs and assorted musical instruments. Very unusual. Had Bathams and Six Bells Golden BB on tap. Had a pint of the Six Bells, very nice it was too. For some reason the signs on the toilets are upside down. Had a real fire in the lounge as well. Pretty good this place.

Interesting house on the old main road through High Town to Shrewsbury. The front door of this place is more an entrance than an exit. Inside the Free House has two rooms plus a conservatory (for any American readers that's a Florida Room) at the rear. The large 'L' shaped bar area has 2 open fires which are both used in the winter. 4 or 5 real ales always available - the regulars are Hobson's Town Crier & Batham's Bitter. Sometimes you even get a real cider. Furnished with a musical theme - several old vinyl LP's on the ceiling - and live music on every weekend. Small quiet room to the left as you enter the pub also has direct access to the serving area. No parking on site but large municipal car park near by. In CAMRA guide. Visit.
