Real Ale Ray left this review about The Crown Inn

A family run free house that dates from the 16th Century. The interior has one long room running along the front of the pub, which is split into three sections, a central bar area, a room to the right with a log burning stove and a small dining area, far left. This pub is known for good food and is also famous locally for their homemade steak and ale pies, which incorporates Three Tuns beer. The pub was busy on our Friday lunch time visit with diners and in spite of this the owner and his wife made a fuss of us and enjoyed chatting to us at the bar. They also brought us out one of their pies for us to try, which was excellent, washed down with a very good pint of Three Tuns XXX. The owner also told us that they sell three hundred Steak pies a week, along with their shepherds pies and fish pies. This was a very homely and comfortable pub, where you can also purchase some locally produced jams and chutneys and eggs, which were so cheap. The pub also has four B&B rooms.

Will Larter left this review about The Crown Inn

This hard to find village is in an obscure backwater of the Shropshire Hills, but enough people seem to find it and enable it to keep ticking over. Obviously most lunchtime customers are here for a bite to eat, while I was just taking a photo and mgulping a quick half by way of a refueling stop before heading off to Bishops Castle and Clun on my bike. To that end, the five hand pumps on the bar looked promising, with Wye Valley Hopfather and Best Bitter, Hobsons Best and Three Tuns Pale. I went for the Three Tuns, but it was not in the best of condition - nothing to complain about, just not as good as in other pubs I had visited in the area.

Oggwyn Great left this review about The Crown Inn

Small friendly Village local in a quiet hamlet in the wonderfull South Shropshire Hills , there is a couple of outdoor drinking areas one of which is covered .
Inside it is very traditional in feel with some old framed adverts and country prints , the food has a very good local reputation.
Usual keg taps and 5 handpulls with 3 in use with Butty Bach , Hobsons Best and an ok Three Tuns XXX , service and locals friendly

Graham Coombs left this review about The Crown Inn

Smallish pub in quiet hamlet. Seemed to have good local support and noted for its home made pies, but didn't feel especially welcoming. Some good beers though.
