This corner plot is now under Fuller's clutches and the bar area is accessed via a door to the right after entry and down a step. Bare-boarded throughout, bar chessboard-type tiling in a dining area through to the rear this is cosy and contemporary with some internal features retained (fireplaces, exposed stone). A chamfered L-shape bar counter is on the left as you enter with a continuation as you walk through an open doorway into a larger, second room. Three Fuller's options - London Pride, Chiswick Bitter and Seafarer's. The Chiswick was OK, and at a head-scratching £1.93 for a half. A couple of good-natured locals were propping up the bar and although this will never be everyone's cup of tea, the overriding feeling is that the place is sating both camps very well indeed.

Very easy to find, so great place to use as a landmark and meet with friends. Bar and informal pub like atmosphere to the front of the hotel. Food was OK, nothing special. Selection a little weak and perhaps the place is unsure whether its a fancy food hotel or a traditional food hotel ... they could do so much more.
