Komakino . left this review about Newlands Inn

Barely 100 yards from the nearby White Hart, this was in busy, boisterous early Sunday evening mood on my visit with loud, vintage rock music playing over speakers. The throng of bodies impaired my vista somewhat but I was able to make out a flagstoned, rectangular room with exposed stone walls and an entrance-facing bar, offering Wychwood Hobgoblin, Ringwood Best Bitter and Loose Cannon Abingdon Gunners Gold on pumps along with a fourth dispensing Rosie's Pig cider. The Loose Cannon was a little on the steep side for this village at £2 for a half, but in great shape nonetheless. A smaller, 'chill out' room to the left housed an unused dartboard and oche a well as bar billiards table with a large, open fireplace against the left-hand wall occupied by a modern burner and seating was limited to a couple of small, round tables, low, square stools and a couple of facing sofas by the fireplace. Boxes of CDs were also on sale here for £2-£3. Probably better visited at a quieter moment, but people here seemed to be enjoying themselves and there's no harm with a bit of raucous bonhomie in a pub from time-to-time.
