Komakino . left this review about The Lord Kitchener
A Greene King pub in this drive-through village between Bampton and Witney, nearer to the latter. A Cotswold Stone building which looks to have been extended either side of an original building over time, this has a slant firmly on the food side and serving times were proudly proclaimed on an A-board out front. A narrow rectangular room, semi-separated by an open fireplace stack to the left-centre on entry which hides the dining area from the rest of the pub, which mainly comprised high-backed beige leather upholstered bench seats, with an area to the far right of the room, past the toilets and through a corridor a country kitchen type separate dining area, presumably for functions. A wood-topped, slate fascia bar is dissected by the previously-mentioned stack and offered just 'Kitchener Ale' - a Hardy & Hanson rebadge. Two further stumps were unclipped. Lots of exposed stone in the dining side and there's the odd Lord Kitchener paraphernalia dotted around. Food is of the pub grub with a twist variety and it seems on this showing that they're doing pretty well out of this approach, so it's unlikely I'll be troubling them anytime soon.
