As much a functioning bar / restaurant serving the caravan park next door as a pub in its own right. The sign outside proclaims 'freehouse', but the three ales on were Wadworth 6X, IPA and Horizon, so there's something to be inferred there. There was also a Cask Marque sign outside and this showed as the Horizon was in great shape even though my half was served in a hiball glass. Interior-wise, this has more of a social club feel than a pub, and in 80s throwback fashion, has a garish blue-green floral-patterned carpet, light pine bar fittings and jade-coloured faux-banquettes. A dining area is located out back in a conservatory-type room, with a games room located to the left on entry, contained a pool table and some upright games machines. Location-wise it's superb, being right next to the Thames and would be great on a summer's day, especially with the characterful Canada geese which congregate by the water's edge, but internally, it's a bit of a timewarp.
