Quinno _ left this review about The Angel

Traditional (in a comfy and enjoyably dated way, as opposed to ‘ye olde oake beams’) and busy pub, packed to the rafters on my Saturday early evening visit – so much so I couldn’t really go exploring much. Of note are the truly wonderful convex bay windows (looks rather like an old wooden cask – intentional?). Four ales on, all Marstons list. The house beer is, I was informed, a rebadge of Banks Mild. Seeing it fly out I decided to get one myself and was rewarded with an excellent pint (NBSS 4). Big on its sport, don't expect to escape the football if it's on. Read elsewhere that the licensees have been here for years, and it shows. A good all-rounder.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Angel

The Angel is a nice looking stone built pub that is close to the crossroaods in the middle of Witney.
Once inside there is a long narrow room which extends to the rear, the bar is to the front right, the room is carpeted and the seating normal tables and chairs the ceiling is beamed, the rear area is up one step, there is a pool table and darts board in this area.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Brakspear Oxford Gold which went down well, the other beers were Hobgoblin,Hobgoblin Gold and Angel Inn Ale.
This is a decent pub to have a few drinks in.

Old Boots left this review about The Angel Inn

Half timbered and dark wood and plaster interior with traditional pub furnishings, this is bigger inside than you'd expect as it goes back for a long way. The décor is the usual traditional pub mix of old photos, prints, plates nic-nacs and less traditionally some racing tickets and a big screen with Sky Sports. This is on even during the popular Sunday night quiz (with the sound off). The counter is in a corner at the front with 2 T-Bars and four handpumps, the ales from the Marston's stable, including, Mansfield, Brakspears and Angel Ale which I take to be a badge engineered Marston's beer. The Old Empire I enjoyed was extremely good, as was the service from the tottyilicous staff.
