There's a train-related link to the name if the pub sign is anything to go by, and this is a two-roomer pub on the outer reaches of Cholsey village, the second room, oddly, operating as the 'Fairmile Sports & Social Club' and a members'-only area. Disappointingly, the 'pub' offered just Morland Original on handpump (I plumped for a Bud Light, served in a blue based glass). The main bar is small, but serves a medium-sized rectangular room, sub-divided by two arches to its right with a quizzer, fruit machine, dartboard, a couple of flatscreens and a 'Pull-Tab-Lotto' machine amongst the distractions dotted about. Several large sporting trophies adorn a windowsill opposite the bar, including one pertaining to the local peculiarity of Aunt Sally and there is much fanfare about another pub pastime - their Quiz Nights. A decent-ish, limited-frills locals' boozer.
