An odd one, this. Two bars, the right is small and singular. The left is larger, a long snake-like knock through and extended to the rear with separate room. Clean and tidy. Mounted moose head spotted. GBG 2016 listed and there were four ales at the bar; Purity UBU, Doom Bar, XT1 (very good nick) and Vale Gravitas. Rugby on numerous TVs throughout and also in the converted coaching courtyard, playing to a raucous but good-natured crowd. It’s a good spot here, if a little robust for some gentlefolk maybe.
