Komakino . left this review about The Black Bull

A quiet country pub down a dead-end road from the nearby Bull. A former Hall's Brewery inn which retains its plaque out front, this is a stone construct and has plenty of it exposed within. There's bare boards throughout and the decor, although modern, is sympathetic to the building's age. Entering via the car park, the bar faces, with a cosy dining area to the left and upholstered bar bench seating with a couple of tables and small stools above which sits a wall-mounted flatscreen TV which was showing a cricket ODI during my visit. There's an additional annex-type area here which has half-height wood panelling and rendered walls, has a mixture of tall and standard tables and chairs and is decked out in a country rustic manner. Hook Norton Hooky, Fuller's London Pride and St Austell Tribute available - the Hooky £1.75 a half and decent. Clean and tidy throughout, there are better country pubs in and around this area, but also a lot worse ones too. There's also an Aunt Sally pitch in the beer garden out back.
