Bucking Fastard left this review about The Barley Mow

A small classic village pub tied to Fuller's,of pleasing stone construction. You enter into the tap room with the bar ahead,a wood burner in one corner and two sofas in the other corner giving the impression of being in someones front room. There are a couple of other traditional tables to pitch down on,while an alcove is filled by a circular table.A small flatscreen was off,and no muzak was playing, although by the front door there was a large speaker. There is a darts board by the fire.
To the right is a seperate dining area with exposed stonework and a low ceiling.Food is served most sessions, but it wouldn't take many diners to fill the interior.
At the bar there are three handpumps with London Pride and Chiswick Bitter as regulars and the seasonal Jack Frost on my visit, which was in excellent condition although needed to be at £3.60.The GBG 2015 listing is justified, and the landlord holds a cellermanship award from Fullers.
The only surviving pub in the village and well used by locals, with a long standing couple at the helm this respectable pub is worth the uphill slog from the Oxford Canal .

Simple, friendly village local. Good beer, food. Aunt Sally in the Garden (if you don't know don't ask).
