Old Boots left this review about The Woolpack

Nice unspoiled u shaped pub, comfortable traditionally furnished and with a dart board. There are a couple of big screens but you can't win them all, otherwise it’s nice and a "proper" pub. Four pulls, Landlord, Black Sheep, London Pride and a blank on this occasion, the barman is from Huddersfield but sparklers are not in use. Another bastion of bar blockers, one actually moved a stool into the narrowest part of the bar.

Will Larter left this review about The Woolpack

The Woolpack is a brick-built village local with a narrow garden at the back leading down to the river. Inside, the centrally placed bar has five hand pumps offering a cider, Timothy Taylor Landlord and three guest ales. My choice of Tydd Steam Brewery Piston Bob, however, came directly from the cellar, carefully poured and carried to the bar in a rim measure glass. The beer was in good condition, though my partner's Woodforde's Wherry was understated to the point of being almost tasteless (not the cellarman's fault, obviously). The village, with its delightful church, is only a short walk from London Road stadium via a tunnel under the busy main road, and makes a quieter option for a pre-match pint.
