Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Coach & Horses

Having now visited 3 of Adderbury's pubs, I'd say that this one is probably the best. Although, I've yet to visit the Red Lion.

This pub is located in the centre of the village, overlooking the green. We arrived to find the place busy with mostly elderly diners. The clientele certainly had a nose for a bargain, as meals here are some of the most competitively priced around. Everybody apart from ourselves were here for the food, which appeared to be typical basic pub grub, with which you can't really go wrong. I saw plenty of people with the curry and others with simple items such as sausages, eggs and beans.

This is a Wadworth's pub. The 3 real ales sold are 6X, Henry's IPA & Swordfish. The landlord was fairly welcoming. I'd definitely consider a return visit to try the food.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Coach & Horses

Very traditional village pub overlooking the picturesque green, with dining areas on each side of a compact bar (that also has a tiny raised area at the back). Simply furnished with lighter decoration than one might expect in the central and left-hand parts, with the other room having a darker look. As a Wadworth house, 6X, Henry's IPA (£3.60, excellent) and Swordfish available from three of four handpumps. However, the remarkable thing here is the food; not a big selection, but just £4.00 for most main meals from the menu card and specials board). Excellent place.

The Coach and Horses is in a nice location facing Adderburys village green.
The pub looks like two different buildings with the right side painted white and the left being stone built, the main pub is in the left side.
Once inside the bar was facing in a smallish L shaped room, the room was carpeted and had a beamed ceiling, the rear area of this room was raised, there was a seperate pool room to the left and a dining room to the right which was empty on my Saturday dinner visit.
The seating was comfy bucket type chairs at small tables.
This pub is a Wadworth tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Wadworth Henrys IPA which was a nice drink, the other beer was Wadworth 6X.
The pub had a nice cosy homely feel to it and ther was a decent amount of older locals in,a few people were dining in the main drinking area.
I quite liked this pub and would have happily stayed longer if not on a pub crawl.
