Quinno _ left this review about North Star

Semi-rural gem with a GII listed interior. The front garden has a small stream plus horse troughs filled with flowers and is catered for by a serving hatch. Inside is a small room painted in GWR colours dominated by a large encompassing wood-settle snug. A further room with bare brick walls is beyond. No bar in the main room, just a serving hatch. Aunt Sally spotted. Three ales on gravity; Sharps Atlantic (ok), Ferrymans (flat) and Morlands Original. Shame the beer wasn’t better really as this timewarp pub is a must-visit. Trivia fact, the owner got pissed one night and tried to demolish it with a JCB when they wouldn’t serve him. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/153892/Raging-boss-flattens-own-brpub-with-digger.html

Jason Pettis left this review about The North Star Inn

This Grade 1 Listed Freehouse Village Pub, Has remained Virtualy untouched for 150 years, and remains painted in the traditional Great Weston Railway (GWR) colours and still serves at least one of its 3 Various Real Ales straight from the Barrel. The new landlord has now introduced a Lunch and Evening Menu serving Fantastic pub food at fantasic prices, rivelled by knowone in the local area. Crib dominos and darts are also frequently played alongside those keen sports fans
