The Whitemoore is a Large whitewashed roadside pub a five minute walk up from the Nags Head on Nuthall Road. Set back a bit from the road there is a lot of parking spaces around the pub. After looking at their Facebook page and seeing real ale offers and constant updates of what beers they were selling I was intrigued to see what they had to offer. I was under the impression it was a bit of a family eater/chain type establishment, how very wrong I was. Upon entering there is a small square shaped bar in the left corner with seating along the right and another semi partitioned room behind that with more seating. On the left hand side through a door there is another larger room that is served by the same bar that is a games room with darts and pool and further seating around it. I was expecting a much larger pub judging from the outside but things were much more craped once inside. The decor was old with hard wood floors throughout and no special or interesting cosmetic features, just a very basic spit and sawdust place with a few old men drinking lager, nothing like the family dining image I was lead to believe. On the right had side of the bar were three had pulls like what their Facebook page had showed but all were unclipped and I was told that they were being taken out, when I asked why all I was told was “they just are”. This was quite frankly ridiculous and left me with the usual options or Theakston’s keg cool. I had a Guinness at a very expensive £3.50 especially for this area and it was not that great or fresh and had a bit of a tang to it. We sat and quickly drank up in the games room over a game of pool. This was a pretty poor effort on the pubs behalf and it was really not that great siting around the half dead looking regulars. Now there is no real ale there is absolutely no reason to come and visit here. Unless it’s get re-instated I will not be coming back .

The Whitemoor looks like a 30s built pub,it stands back from the road.
Once inside this pub was quite smart and comfortable, ther used to be two rooms but i am not sure about this now,i have had a drink in both rooms and the lounge was very comfortable the bar was more basic but still a nice room to have a drink in.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and there were two real ales on the bar Shipstones bitter was a veery nice drink here the other real ale was Shipstones mild.
This pub is still up and running but i dont know what beers are now on here.
