Walked past on Tuesday night. It was closed and a scribbled note in the window gave opening times of 19:00 - 23:00 on Saturdays and Sundays - No away fans. Sounds like one to avoid to me.

Things seem to have changed for the worse here, with what seemed to be a temporary manager eating her lunch at the time of my visit (the pub is advertised as an "opportunity" on a board attached to the wall) and no real ales on the bar. There were two hand pumps, with one sporting a reversed pump clip, but as she didn't give me any encouragement I assume it is no longer stocked. The place was dead, with one customer sitting on a bar stool. Around the corner both the Yard of Ale and the Palmerston Arms were heaving - the latter was so busy that I came here instead. Needless to say, I didn't have a drink.

We really liked this well run and welcoming pub and would include this on a crawl around Peterborough. This small corner pub consists of one moderately sized room with a small bar, striped upholstered bench seating around the perimeter walls and pool table and an outside patio. Three ales on handpump and a choice of five ciders. We went for the Roosters Yankee and Tydd Steam Stargazer, both were very good. There was also a pub's cat named Socks and a pub's dog called Tilly. These two characters run around the pub chasing one another, quite fun to watch, whilst supping a pint. Whatpub describes this as an Irish themed pub, we didn't see any evidence of that.
