Old Boots left this review about The Station Hotel

Victorian gothic building, as the name suggests opposite the railway and tram station depending on which exit you use. I had to sit outside due to plague so didn’t see a lot of the internals, it looked modernised but not unsympathetically. GBG listed but perhaps once again it’s based on pump count - 20 according to WhatPub. Mainly Lincoln Green beers no doubt.

This place is now a Lincoln Green outlet and represents quite a challenge for them as it's a large pub and Hucknall rail and tram station is not in the centre of Hucknall. I made two visits here on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and while it was quiet on Wednesday but there were more in on Saturday including a couple booking a room.
It's a wedge shaped building with the public bar through a door at the narrow end. Over to the left is a small snug and the lounge bar is on the other side of the pub counter.
There are large arrays of hand pumps in both public and lounge bars. The emphasis is on Lincoln Green beers but there are guests. On the Wednesday I had Fullers Fruit Loop (£3.40) and on Saturday Lincoln Green Bowman (£3.10) both of which were in good nick.
I would definitely return here and wish Lincoln Green well with it.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Station Hotel

The station Hotel is a large pub that is close to Hucknall's train station and tram stop.
On my first few visits to this pub it was an Home Ales tied house witha decent drink of Home bitter and Mild on the bar.
Once inside the pub seems pretty much unchanged but a lot smarter and comfortable than it used to be,the bar faces on entry to the main drinking room which is square shaped and bare boarded, the seating is comfortable bench seating with small stools and normal tables and chairs.
There is a separate smarter looking lounge to the rear.
The pub is now run by Lincoln Green brewery,so there was a good choice of their beers on the bar,i had a pint of Lincoln Green Marrion, which went down well, the other real ales noted were Lincoln Green Hood,Archer,Tuck,Sheriff and Big Ben,there was also Everards Tiger Bitter.
The pub was fairly busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
I thought this was a pleasant and comfortable pub to have a drink in.

Situated across the road from the NET Tram and Robin Hood Line railway station. The pub was built in the mid 1830's to serve travellers using the Great Northern and Midland Railway, which has long gone. This large three storey Victorian building is now in the hands of a partnership between local based Lincoln Green Brewing Company and Star Pubs and Bars. The pub reopened on the 17th February after a six week refurbishment.
The pub features three large downstairs rooms and the restored corner entrance opening into the traditional bar, which features a range of various maps, photographs and memorabilia.
A games room leads off this which features traditional pub games and a genuine Northamptonshire Skittles table, along with the Old Station Hotel pub sign on the wall.
A corridor leads you to a staircase to the upstairs function and dining rooms. The large lounge area features another bar with ten handpumps. This area was carpeted throughout and had an upright piano over on the far wall. There was also a log burning stove and wallpapered walls each side of the stove. We had a choice of sixteen different ales on this visit, plus eight keg options. I went for the Lincoln Green Marion & Fountain Dale, Colchester Jack Spitty and I also tried a half of the Colchester Brazilian Porter. Excellent pub with a well deserved ten rating.

Alex Conway left this review about The Station Hotel

The station hotel is a huge pub a two minute walk from Hucknall tram stop. The pub has two large separate rooms in a bar and lounge style. The lounge is very under filled and seems to have a lot of open empty spaces, not helped by it being very empty on my Saturday afternoon visit.

There was one real ale on the bar from Caledonia brewery but I cannot remember which one. I decided not to try this as my gut instinct told be i would regret it, I wish i had now.
Instead I opted for a pint of keg Theakstons mild which I thought was very expensive at £3.10 for a 3.5% keg mild. it was a fairy nice drink though.

this pub seems quite dated and does not seem to attract a very large crowd for its size and thus results in a very slow, dead atmosphere. It is good to at least see one ale on the bar, usually this sort of establishment would not have one but some modernization and money being spent on it is really needed. It was ok for a quick beer but nothing no return for.
