Will Larter left this review about The Riverway

From the Nottingham Post (3rd April 2019): The post-war pub in Arkwright Way was formerly owned by Basford-based brewery Shipstones. It was taken over by Yorkshire-based Samuel Smith's Brewery in 2017 after a long period of closure. The brewery has become well-known for its keenness to retain a 'Victorian' atmosphere in its pubs, including the banning of mobile devices. The Riverway survived the demolition work which took place in The Meadows in the 1970s, when 22 pubs were lost, but was boarded up on Tuesday, April 2 (2019).

Alan Winfield left this review about The Riverway

The Riverway is an estate pub that was built in the late 70s when this area of the meadows was redeveloped.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house with two rooms, there are still two rooms in this pub and real ale has been on the bar on occasions but not always.
This is very much a locals pub except on match days when football fans call in on the way to watch Forest or Notts county.
