Alan Winfield left this review about The Rose Inn
The Rose Inn is a nice looking pub from the outside.
Once inside there was a largish single room that had lots of different drinking areas, though most of these were in darkness, the floor was part carpeted and part stone, the seating was mainly normal tables and chairs, the ceiling was beamed.
There was a calor gas heater in the middle of the room but the room still felt cool and there was a very small tv behind the bar which the landlord was glued to,this was showing eastenders and this was blasting out through the pubs speakers.
There were no real ales on the bar with three unclipped pumps, this left a choice of one bitter which was John Smiths smooth crap which it was.
We were the only people in at about 1.30 on a Saturday dinner.
This is a very sad pub that needs to change quickly or it will no doubt close down.
