A large ember Inns Pub with ten and pumps but usually only five to choose from as beers are repeated. Their regular beer is Breakspear Bitter, an unusual find in Nottingham and Priced very competativley somewhere at£ 2.90 and reduced further on other days. The other beers are picked from the ember inns rotating stable but Generic brands such as Doombar usually feature. on my last visit Everards Tiger, Black sheep and Purity UBU were also available and are usually kept in a fairly good standard, and more so now after the recent refurbishment. There are several different seating areas with lots of space dedicated to diners, this pub gets a lot of food trade but there is still lots of room for drinkers.
A very nice pub to sit and enjoy a few beers, not as nosey or atmospheric as the Rodney up the road but decent to pop in when around Wooloton.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Hemlock Stone

Large suburban Ember Inns outlet, with quite an attractive refurbished façade. Usual deal inside, with a range of seating and dining areas set around the central bar area. Beer garden to the rear. Background music. Doom Bar, Brakspear Bitter, Bass, Everard's Tiger (£2.95) and Old Rosie cider available from a total of ten handpumps on three separate banks on different parts of the counter. Overall, better than I was expecting.

The Hemlock Stone is a large suburban pub that was built by Home Brewery, the pub is named after a large stone which is called the Hemlock Stone this is located nearby in Stapleford.
Once inside this pub had two largish rooms that i noticed with a very smart and comfortable longe and a more basic bar, this pub used to be an Home Ales tied house and there were no real ales on the bar on the few occasions i went in here, the Home bitter was almost undrinkable i am not sure about the Home mild.
I have heard recently that this pub now stocks a few decent real ales on the bar.
