Large family eatery on the banks of the river trent in the small hamlet of Stoke bardolf. This is now pert of the green King empire and branded as a family friendly hungry horse. I came at a very quiet time without any kids to run round due to there being some sort of kids playground but can imagine it's quite frantic like other silimar outletsin the chain. The pub goes a really long way back and has dosens of tables and chairs for drinkers and diners but this is much more of a family eatery than a boozer. The decire is the big standard Green king affair but does have some nice original oak beams in the cealing. Beer wise just GK ipa and abbot with speckled hen off and these do not change. The ipa despite all its obvious floors was in reasonable nick and served at a good temperature. it set me back £3.50 which I thought a tad high in such a place like this. Overall nothing really special but serves its purpose and a welcome refreshment stop if ever walking the banks of the river trent as I found myself doing today.
