Steve C left this review about The Ram

The Ram is a long and thin split-level bar and brasserie with seating areas at the front and a brown leather serving counter up the right. At the rear is a dining area with lines of tables that are overlooked by a huge mirror. Premium keg was available alongside four hand pumps that were drawing Oakham’s Citra, Fuller’s London Pride and Navigation Brewery’s New Dawn. There was little to no atmosphere and the niche background music didn’t help things. I think I’ll leave this to the diners in future.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Ram

Very large pub / restaurant with an impressive façade but a rather disappointing, slightly split-level, refurbished interior that has lost most of the character it might once have had. Just Doom Bar and New Dawn from Navigation (£4.00) available from two of the four handpumps.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Ram

The Ram is a large pub that was an Home Ales tied house when i did my first few visits to it.
Once inside the pub has had a massive makeover and now as a more contempary feel and look, there is a wide area to the front which has comfy bench seating and chairs, the bar is situated midway down the long room on the left side, the floor is bare boarded,as the room goes further to the rear it narrows, there is a separate room behind the bar to the right, there was a wedding reception taking place in this room.
There was good selection of real ales on the bar,we had a drink of Cathedral Heights Churchills Pride which went down well, the other beers noted were Leatherbrithers ?,Newark BLH4,Flipside Copper Penny,London Pride and GK IPA,there was also some real Ciders on the bar.
Background music was playing and the pub was very busy on our late Saturday afternoon visit.
Not really my type of pub but the beer was nice.
