Steve C left this review about Swan & Salmon

Swan & Salmon is a large and long riverside pub with an L-shaped bar area up one end and a raised dining area at the other. Stairs in the bar area lead up to prime seating in the small lounge on the second floor. The two hand pumps in amongst the premium keg were both drawing Beermats Brewing’s ales I went for Summat Blonde which was well poured by the cheeky chappy barman. I also decided to have a chicken burger which was poor quality for the price. I think I’ll walk past next time I’m in the area.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Swan & Salmon

It has reverted to an earlier name, but I'm not sure what else has changed in this part-old, part-extended riverside building. The two main seating / dining areas are on slightly different levels, but both effectively on the first floor overlooking the Trent but appearing to be ground floor on the approach from the town. Two real ales on handpump: Doom Bar and Castle Rock Harvest Pale.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Waters Edge

The Waters Edge is a modern bar in an old building, the pub is located next to the large locks on the River Trent,so gives great views of boats coming and going.

Once inside the bar faces, there is a fairly large oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the floor is wood, the seating normal tables and chairs and one tall table and uncomfortable metal stools, the left side is up a few steps, there is comfy bench seating and normal tables chairs here, there is a a very large water feature on the left wall.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Milestone Liberty Ale,this went down very well which watching two boats leave the locks and enter them.
There was background music playing and i found the staff to be friendly.
I quite took to this place even though it is not a traditional pub.
