The Grey Horse is a decent sized pub that is situated at the northern end of Collingham.
Once inside this pub has got two rooms with a large lounge to the right which was carpeted and had most tables laid out for diners, this room was empty late saturday afternoon, the bar is to the left this room had bench seating and there was a dart board.
Steriophonics was blasting out on the sound system and i do like this group but it was a little too loud, but the locals seemed to like this.
This pub is an Everards tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Everards Tiger bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Everards Original.
Not a bad pub at all but the locals who were in on our visit may have seemed a bit rowdy for some people,we were happy enough though.

16/04/11 Saturday Party of 6 Not Pre-booked. In the area on a weekend away and just finished a walk when we came across this pub. Looked very nice from the outside and had a menu on the wall which we could all select something from so we went in. The bar area was moderately full with a football match on TV whilst the Lounge was empty. We found that this was because they do not start serving food until 6pm (it was only 5pm) but they did take our orders in preparation and shortly after 6 the meals were served. Menu covered the whole gambit of food from lite bites to hearty main meals with prices ranging from £5 to £12 (for a mixed grill). We can state that the portions were plentiful, so much so, that two of the party could not finish their meal and had to miss deserts. For those of us who soldiered on we were rewarded with well presented and very tasty afters. Service was good and efficient and atmosphere was pleasant enough (although could have done with a bit more light). All in all very pleasant and would not hesitate to return if ever in the area again.

Recent management and staff changes have meant that the Grey Horse can only get better. Now doing food 7 days a week, lunchtimes and evenings, the future of the Grey Horse looks decidedly rosy.
