Will Larter left this review about Horseshoe Inn

The sign on the gable end asserts "serving a range of finest cask ales", which turned out to be - Greene King IPA. This fails to meet the description by both not being a range and not being anyone's idea of the "finest" of cask ales. There were two bars, with unusual (for a pub) wood veneer flooring in one, carpet in the other (presumably for drinkers who can be trusted not to spill their Fosters). At the back there was a covered smokers area and a bit of garden (patch of grass) with some benches. For a village pub it was a fine imitation of the sort of estate pub I would normally run a mile from, and as it was also becoming full to bursting with Luton Town supporters I decided to try the Oliver Twist just along the street. (Nothing against Luton Town supporters - I'm one myself - but when large numbers take over a pub it's not conducive to a good drinking experience.)
