The Plough is a 400 year old pub situated on the Market Square in the Towcester Town Centre just along from the Brave Old Oak.
Internally it is two rooms, a fairly small cosy front bar with stone floors and a large bay window out onto the high street, and then a larger lounge bar/restaurant area to the rear. A corridor runs from the front bar to the back and then out to a nice small patio garden area.
It’s a Charles Wells house and Wells Bombardier and Courage Directors are permanent beers and TT Landlord and Young's Bitter were also on for my visit and well served by who I took to be the enthusiastic and friendly landlord.
Not a destination pub by any stretch of the imagination, despite the ravings of the previous posters, but it probably passes as one of the better options available to the residents of towcester.
