A modest sized pub currently festooned in the flag of St George during the World Cup.There are a few benches outside for smokers, while once through the door you are faced up with a chipboard floor,a motley assortment of worn furniture and a motley assortment of regulars. There is a low ceiling, brick fireplace to the right, two flatscreens and a leg beyond the bar containing a darts board and a door to the rear garden across the carpark where an awning has been erected.
There are two handpumps but only Doom Bar available at £3.60.The barmaid consulted a man I assumed to be the landlord to ask if the Doom Bar was indeed on,he said so but although the beer was clear there was also a distinct tang. All other punters were drinking lager.
To be a regular here ,you need a degree in profanities with the worst examples being served up by the two women present who managed to top the general opinion on Lionel Messi with a beautifully observed double expletive. It's all very down at heal,a real rough boozer and not somewhere to get on the wrong side of the regulars. Not one I will be returning to.
