Attractive looking Marstons pub located on the High Street. Inside is a separate dining area and then a bar area which is split into a couple of rooms. A dart board, pool table and a TV was present. There is also accommodation here. There were four hand pumps. Only Pedigree on offer. I had a Guinness at £4.40 which was fine. I did see Hobgoblin on tap. Not really worth stopping for unless you are eating.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Heart Of England
Substantial three-storey inn beside (but rather hidden from) the Grand Union Canal. Opened out inside to form a large 'L'-shaped arrangements of various seating areas. Landscaped beer garden with two large shelters, childrens play area and mini Easter Island-esque statue. Two more table on the front landscaped area by the road. Standard Marstons menu. Also offers hotel rooms. Two banks of three handpumps, offering Pedigree, Banks's Original and the seasonal Lion's Roar (£2.80).

Visited Wednesday Evening 21st September 2011
A Marston’s Inn, obviously chained with newly refurbished interior and modern interpretation of old world decor and pub furniture. Lots of Rooms to find somewhere quiet and away from family groups. They had obviously spent a considerable sum on decking out the garden with some very nice gazebos and other features with a new children’s play area, just a shame about the traffic noise.
It was busy but not heaving with people, we still enjoyed our Banks and Hobgoblin and they also had on offer Pedigree and Ringwood’s Boondoggle. It’s what it is a family/ food orientated pub, an ok stop if needs must.
For canal people this is short walk from bridge 24, and very near 3 local take aways, there are other pubs further down the road but where you can cross the busy road safely is a mystery.
The Hotel B&b was £61.00 a night not a bad price realy.

Exactly as described by Mr Fastard below, the Heart of England is popular with business travellers due to its proximity to major road networks and there is a corporate feel to the place.
Beers on were Pedigree, which was fine, Banks Original and Hobgoblin.
A clean and comfortable stopping place which will serve you an acceptable pint if you're travelling on business.

The original stone building dates from the 18th century ,but two large Victorian gable ended extensions dominate the frontage.This is a Marston's managed pub with 2 for 1 meal deals and dining dominates the left hand section from the entrance which extends into a conservatory.However if you turn right you enter the old building with its low ceilings and this is the section in which you will feel more comfortable if your objective is a few beers.The internal decor is pubco modern but there is a pleasant fixed seat in the bay window.The bar in this area doubles as the hotel reception and the accomodation extends into buildings at the rear.There is a further section down a couple of steps with a flat screen and some more pine furniture.There is an extensive garden to the left of the building.
Three handpumps dispence beers from the Marston's breweries portolio ,and the condition of my Pedigree and Banks's Original (MILD !)was very acceptable with friendly bar service.
The nearest pub in Weedon to the canal,this is suitable for a quick one or two,but I didn't try the food and probably wouldn't base myself here for a session.

What can i say, the food is crap microwave food served by grumpy staff who cant be botherd to smile.This place is more interested in food than serving beer and as such you will find yourself waiting to get served a pint as there is usually only one person serving.This place is a fine example of what happend to a lovely building when a brewery gets hold of it and converts it to crap.Avoid at all costs for accomodation and go to the crossroads.This place is better than the globe but thats not really saying much !.
