Very lively and boisterous pub on my visit with Saturday night karaoke and pool players and some watching the footy. I had an Oakham JHB which was close to but not quite vinegar, there were three other beers on the pumps Tribute, Proper Job and Sharps Atlantic I think, I couldn’t see easily for bar blockers as the pulls are on a face of the L shaped counter with an unfortunately placed pillar making things even more difficult. Largely youth clientele, the led candles in glasses on some tables are twee but still as objectionable as real tea lights. It’s basically one large room sub divided by a fireplace and residual walls round the pool table. There’s a funny shaped room out the back too. Fake beamed ceilings and plain white walls with a few photos in one part, the WhatPub description is particularly misleading. There’s apparently an Indian restaurant attached.

Just taken over by Hayley & Martin
A great village pub selling real ales and in camra 2007 with one of the tallest bars in uk.
Also why not try Uncle li chinese restaurant and takeaway for a great chinese
