Komakino . left this review about Railway Tavern

Not for the first time, I was the youngest in a pub by far and there was plenty of the fruity language JAQPTIO experienced a couple of years back. The layout remains the same, with upholstered bench seating opposite the bar and against the left-hand wall. Bare-boards throughout and that old class touch - book-shelf wallpaper against the right-hand wall. The pool table remains, now red-baized accompanied by a jukebox and dartboard (closed). As below, no real ale - a pint of Guinness was £3.40. There's an interesting room to the left back of the bar, narrow, with upholstered bench seats facing each other and a cosy fireplace against the rear wall, but other than this, unless you're a Winfield-like completest, you won't want to bother.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Railway Tavern

Proper old-fashioned local, featuring a partially opened-out 'L'-shaped bar with the pool table in one side branch and a separate room beyond the other end of the counter. Basic furniture and decor, but a real community feel (and some fruity banter that wouldn't be to everybody's taste). Beer garden advertised. No real ale, unfortunately, so it's a choice between the inevitable John Smith's (£1.45, half), a few draught lagers and ciders or a couple of bottled offerings.
