Alan Winfield left this review about King Billy

The King Billy is a large pub that is a short walk down hill from the middle of Northampton.
Once inside there is a fairly large single room which is wrapped around the bar on three sides, the room is bare boarded, the seating is normal tables and chairs and some large barrels with stools, the rear area has a stone floor and is down a couple of steps, there is also a pool table in this area.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of St Austell Tribute which went down well, the other real ales were Robinsons Trooper,Hobgoblin and Doom Bar.
The background music was Rock type.
Live bands are advertised.
The pub was almost empty on our Saturday dinner visit, but no doubt gets busier in the evening.

The King Billy as it s known locally.A down to earth ,open plan pub with no frills.Has a wide selection of real ales which are well kept.Features very loud rock bands.

A large busy pub with a choice of real ales.Venue for rock bands , so not the place for a quiet pint but very atmospheric!
